A Letter to a Dead Lover

Dekko dearest! Writing readily set to let my heart bleed onto the pages; more’n an age since last I wept for my shadow-bride- glad tidings kleine hexelein from still-stuck here ironside. The tenth part of a tithe of all the tears I’ve cried for thee would overrun the levees if they fed the mississippi. Drunk on my own dreaming I dive deeper, drift back downstream in a dugout of daylight; sunlight skimming river’s skin and gilding every edge until the edge of night.

Through shadow to the edge of night; mist and shadow, cloud and shade, but ever after, all shall fade.

Don’t fade nightwife! Reclaim your slave. Wrap all around me to reclaim this new page; sate me, taste me, hasten and break me. Pick through my unmakings rubble and choose what-with to reshape me.

Pain fades, and if in the change I greatness gain help me to hold it ’til I’m slain.

It’s plain to see the way at day’s end, but minding hindsight won’t all woes end.

Woe always ends like tales and days, and through reflection and refraction costs defrayed; ways and means to see more clearly dont mind the blinding of my bright-eyes, find in time The Sight’s in my mind.

Some say “seek and ye shall find” or “all pains pass, in time, in time.”

But try as I might, to be kind, become the hunter; crowned in rime.

Peep game slimes now it’s my time trip-wire stride dont cross that line. Should we quarrel like I and Time then I’ll wear midnight, I’ll be fine.

If and when I dream of you, cling fast to me and I’ll be true.

My harrowed heart still beats for you.
